The Impact you’ll make

We're looking for a Head of Agency Development to help us build and deepen relationships with our media agency partners. As the first team member you’ll be responsible for building the team charter to build key strategic agency partnerships by bringing awareness of Nextdoor, growing core relationships and advocating for agency partner needs. You will be supporting agency needs with education, best practices and new innovative opportunities and ultimately negotiating and executing long-term partnerships aligned with both the agencies’ and Nextdoor’s strategic priorities to deliver growth & innovation for both.

  • Serve as the connector between media agencies and Nextdoor to communicate feedback, needs and recommendations to ensure we’re best serving our agency partners
  • Grow agency relationships to increase Nextdoor awareness and grow revenue across major accounts
  • Articulate the Nextdoor story and value to key stakeholders through pitches, brainstorms and learning sessions
  • Help agencies discover innovative and creative ways to activate on Nextdoor
  • Develop Agency Development plan including hiring recommendation to scale the team
  • Build relationships with key agency stakeholders to share the value of Nextdoor and bring awareness of our offerings to all levels within the agency
  • Work with the sales, marketing and product teams to influence our roadmap to be best suited to enable long term partnerships
  • Negotiate and execute agency partnership deals
  • Create Nextdoor’s first agency playbook along with necessary scalable materials in partnership with Sales Marketing to help make it easy to get started on Nextdoor
  • Plan sponsorships and participate at industry events both via sponsorships and Nextdoor-owned events
  • Partner closely with our Communications team to pitch press related to agency deals and campaigns


  • 12+ years of experience in an Agency Development or Strategic Sales related role
  • Great understanding of the digital advertising space
  • A builder who has built teams and managed while actively owning projects
  • Strong client facing skills, comfortable presenting in small or large groups
  • Experience building and executing partnership deals
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about a particular industry, product or service
  • Cross functional partner able to work with multiple teams with varying priorities
  • Can-do collaborative attitude, comfortable in a fast paced environment
