The Organizations team’s mission is to help local businesses, government agencies, and civic Organizations inform, engage, and transact with neighbors on Nextdoor. Organizations play a critical role in creating vibrant, thriving, and resilient neighborhoods. Our team is focused on enabling them to share helpful information, engage in two-way dialogue, and provide goods and services to their neighbors.
The Impact You’ll Make
We are hiring a Product Manager to help define our strategy for Organizations, manage our roadmap, and collaborate with company leaders in engineering, design, operations, data science, and marketing to build the platform. This role requires expertise in developing communication platforms for enterprises, and some experience developing products in complex content ecosystems. The ideal candidate will couple intellectual capacity and analytical rigor with a passion for creating platforms for large communities.
Key responsibilities include:
Help develop our long-term vision for Organizations on Nextdoor.
Work closely with cross-functional partners (engineering, data science, insights, design, and partnerships, product leadership team) to write the quarterly product strategy.
Work closely with our engineering team to define and manage the team’s weekly roadmap and milestones.
Facilitate our agile development process as scrum master.
Manage communications across our matrixed, cross-functional team on a daily basis.
What You’ll Bring to The House
5+ years of work experience product development.
3+ years in product management/strategy.
Deep passion for building communities, both online and offline.
Experience developing new product surfaces and building the organizational alignment around the new opportunity.
Experience delivering successful and innovative enterprise software products.
Ability to drive clarity and consensus across complex problems by putting the customer first.
Ability to think at a systems level and capacity to strike a balance between short-term optimizations vs. long-term product vision.
Experience with multiple methods of testing and validation, both qualitative and quantitative.
Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data, and communicate actionable insights.
Excitement about partnering with Design as a strategic partner and building a collaborative relationship with design team members around exploring multiple solutions.
Excellent written and communication skills, especially to senior executives.
Natural ability to make things happen around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized and structured way.
